Ni Yuefeng, Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee, visited and provided guidance at the Aier Factory, empowering the pet industry to achieve high-quality development.
Dec 15,2025
From August 11 to 12, Ni Yuefeng, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, conducted a research visit to Xingtai City. He pointed out that it is essential to thoroughly implement the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his inspection of Hebei Province, adhere to using scientific and technological innovation to drive the development of new-quality productive forces, vigorously promote the upgrading and enhancement of distinctive county-level industries, and strive to fulfill the annual economic and social development goals and tasks, thereby ensuring a successful conclusion to the 14th Five-Year Plan. During this research tour, Secretary Ni visited Nanhe District, Wei County, and Ningjin County in Xingtai City, going deep into enterprises, research institutions, and key project construction sites to gain a detailed understanding of industrial development. Secretary Ni emphasized the need to strengthen the role of enterprises as the main innovators, build close-knit innovation consortia involving upstream and downstream partners, and promote the integration of industry, academia, and research for innovative breakthroughs. It is also crucial to fully leverage the leading role of flagship enterprises, continuously extend, supplement, and strengthen industrial chains, and drive the high-end, intelligent, and green development of industries.

With the advancement of the 14th Five-Year Plan, China’s economic structure has become more diversified, and the pet economy is booming. In 2024, the number of pets kept in urban areas across China exceeded 430 million. Among them, young and middle-aged people aged 25 to 35 constitute the main group of pet owners, accounting for 50% of the total pet-owning population, while those aged 35 to 50 make up 25% and are steadily increasing. Notably, the proportion of civil servants in China who own pets has risen from the original 20% to 42%. The diversification of the pet-owning demographic poses even higher standards and demands for building a harmonious human-pet society. As the emotional need for pets as “companions” continues to grow, relevant regulations in the pet industry are also gradually being refined and improved. In 2020, Shenzhen took the lead by enacting legislation banning the consumption of dog and cat meat, with violators facing fines of up to 20,000 yuan. Subsequently, various regions have successively introduced local regulations aimed at protecting pets. Over the past two decades, the Zhejiang Province Animal Epidemic Prevention Regulations were the first to explicitly state that "animals must not be abused"; in 2024, the Qingdao Dog Ownership Management Regulations clearly stipulated that "abandoning or abusing dogs is prohibited." As pet-related laws and regulations continue to improve across different regions, they play an increasingly important role in fostering a harmonious human-pet society and promoting the healthy development of the pet industry.
As one of the “Top Ten Pet Food Manufacturers Nationwide,” Al Pet Food recently welcomed a research visit led by Secretary Ni, who toured the company’s production facility located in Nanhe District, Xingtai City, Hebei Province. Through the company’s smart, Industry 4.0 digital factory, Secretary Ni and his delegation expressed high appreciation for Al Pet Food’s stringent safety standards, sophisticated quality control processes, and strong commitment to social responsibility. This marks the first time that provincial- and ministerial-level leaders have visited a pet food production base, making this visit highly significant for shaping food safety standards in the pet industry, promoting the development of urban pet management, and fostering a harmonious human-pet society. Led by Wang Rongkun, Chairman of the company, Secretary Ni and his delegation toured Al Pet Food’s production workshops, learned about its production standards, explored its development journey, and gained insight into its brand responsibilities. They also engaged in discussions with heads of various departments, examining the responsibilities and significance of the pet industry’s development at both the societal and corporate levels.

Innovative R&D is our core competitiveness.
With over two decades of development, Aier Pet Food places great emphasis on anticipating market demands and product R&D. It has established multiple R&D centers in France, Malaysia, and China (Beijing, Shanghai, and Xingtai), working collaboratively to develop products that meet emerging market trends. Aier has also independently set up a pet feeding center, conducting 28-day humane feeding studies to thoroughly investigate the feeding habits of urban pets and accumulating a wealth of high-value data. This extensive data collection provides strong support for Aier Pet Food’s R&D efforts. By fully leveraging its own R&D resources and integrating cutting-edge domestic and international pet nutrition concepts, Aier continuously optimizes product formulations and develops an increasing number of high-quality pet foods that precisely meet the growth stages and health needs of various pets. Recognizing Aier Pet Food’s substantial and ongoing investment in R&D, Secretary Ni expressed his admiration and approval, and encouraged the company to further strengthen its role as an innovation leader.

Raw material safety is a prerequisite.
During the visit, Secretary Ni expressed his appreciation for the company’s consistent practice of selecting top-tier raw material suppliers nationwide and highly commended the company’s rigorous screening mechanism, which involves nearly a hundred inspection procedures from the moment the raw materials arrive at the factory. He emphasized that high-quality raw materials are the cornerstone of producing premium food products and urged Aier Company to continue maintaining its stringent control over raw material quality.
The production system is the primary element.
As our tour delved deeper into Air’s production workshop, we had the opportunity to closely observe Air’s advanced production equipment and sophisticated process flows. The roaring, state-of-the-art production lines and the precise, highly efficient automated systems vividly demonstrated Air’s remarkable achievements in technological innovation and production advancement. During the visit, Secretary Ni engaged in an in-depth exchange with us on topics such as equipment performance, production efficiency, and technological innovation, and expressed high appreciation for the company’s approach of leveraging technology to enhance production effectiveness.

As a “key leading enterprise” at the provincial and municipal levels, Aier Pet Food consistently prioritizes food safety and takes quality innovation as its core principle. All of our pet foods have undergone 117 industry-specific tests and a 28-day humane feeding trial. Our products have not only earned recognition from leaders across various sectors but have also received endorsement from industry standards and widespread acclaim in terms of scale. We will continue to leverage our strengths, continuously enhance product innovation and quality, and strengthen our brand’s influence, thereby contributing together to the development of China’s pet food industry and safeguarding the food safety of Chinese pets.
Aier Pet Food fully leverages its own strengths and actively fulfills its social responsibilities. In response to the legislative spirit of the “Regulations on Promoting Civilized Behavior in Hebei Province”—which calls for “standardizing pet-raising practices and safeguarding the public environment”—Aier closely integrates corporate development with the needs of social governance. By establishing a pet food quality traceability platform, Aier enables consumers to clearly understand the origins of its products. Additionally, through initiatives such as “Bringing Scientific Pet-Raising Education to Communities,” Aier helps pet owners enhance their awareness of civilized pet-raising practices, thereby promoting the standardization of pet-raising behaviors from the corporate perspective.
The development of the pet industry resonates in sync with the progress of social civilization. Taking this leadership visit as an opportunity, Aier Pet Food will continue to uphold its original aspiration—to always strive for a worry-free, pet-specific diet—leveraging the power of the industry to promote a virtuous cycle of “improved production standards—enhanced pet health—harmonious coexistence in society,” and consistently providing consumers with pet food that is safer and healthier.
